Pa and Ma, uncle Bill and aunt Lil
Were the first to settle this holler
They built them a house with the help of the Lord
'Cause they didn't have the almighty dollar
Then old Mother Nature, she had her way
And they were blessed with sons and daughters
And as time went on nobody moved off
And it became Kinfolks Holler

Pa is the law, the preacher, and the judge
And he rules with a mighty firm hand
He's the deacon of the church and the mayor of the town

His rules he's sworn to follow
But at a hundred-and-five, he's still mighty spry
