Million Miles

We're a species on the run
But our journey's just begun
It's been a while since we started the engines
Eight light years have now gone
Since our ship flew past the sun
A vessel full of life and alien inventions

Our brothers, we shall see
In a distant galaxy
They know we only come with good intentions
When we start our nova drive
Into black hole, we will dive
There's no time nor space, there's only dimensions

Flying goes on
There is no dawn
To gaze your eyes upon
When we arrive
We will survive
It feels great to be alive

Far lies our travel's end
It's hard to comprehend
These distances are overwhelming
Most of the crew on ice
In hyper sleep device
No one knows if they are dreaming

This is how I'll spend my life
But it is just as fine
At least it has some kind of meaning
I hope to still be here
When our destination's near
It would be something worth seeing
